Tucked away in our lush campgrounds, the 18 foot Taysha tipi provides privacy and serenity while still enjoying a camping experience in nature.
Enjoy s'mores under the stars after a day on the river by your private fire pit.

Our tipi comes from Nomadic Tipi Makers, famous for their tipis featured in the film "Dances with Wolves".

The name "Taysha" is Caddoan for "friend". Caddo Indians originally inhabited our area, and the particular tribe of our region is where the name "Ouachita" came from. This tipi is a Sioux design (Caddo tribes typically had grass houses).

10% of each stay is donated to NARF (the Native American Rights Fund). Founded in 1970, NARF is the oldest and largest nonprofit legal organization asserting and defending the rights of Indian tribes, organizations, and individuals nationwide. More info at narf.org.

This tipi is perfect for 2 people (children are allowed, but you will need to bring bedding for them). Inside the tipi, there is one queen bed (with bedding) and seating for two. At this time, there is no electricity, a/c, or heat in the tipi, so plan your trip accordingly. Tipi guests will utilize the campground restrooms and showers.
Maximum of 4 guests inside tipi, one vehicle. Pets are allowed for additional fee per night
